Fishing
With 7554 acres of water, the towns of Sayner and Star Lake are located in the headwaters of two drainage basins - the Manitowish River basin flowing to the west and the Wisconsin River basin flowing to the south. Several smaller streams are managed for trout, with Plum Creek receiving the most attention by trout anglers.

You'll find fishing for trophy muskies and bass, walleye, trout, northern crappies, perch, and blue gills. There are 47,000 acres of public property or water in the township, that is about 76%.
